would otherwise be funny, if it wasn’t so true

With six days before election day, I can’t help but recognize (in good humor) the average voter attitude captured by this skit going into next Tuesday. Some say its a close race, but I think SNL is calling it here. This one’s for you Brad:

Some may say a more traditional source for this type of news can be found here: Wall Street Journal: Latest Sign of Trouble for McCain: RNC Ads in Montana

B&K hang again. . .

The boys got a chance to hang out at the house today.  “B,” as he’s known online, is 8 months older than our little “K.”  So, “K’s” got some catchin up to do, but we thought the two hung out quite nicely today.

Raya was able to capture this cute exchange on the couch.  We may have the making of a blog series between these two, as they seem to have the making for fun commentary while growing up together. . . while I can provide the commentary for them. . .goodtimes.

Growing up is hard to do. . .

We have a bit of debate, a small one, here at our house centered
around the decision to change diapers sizes. I’m ready to see him
move to the next size (12pds +), seemingly constricted by the pampers
he’s been wearing since birth (less that 10pds). However Tarah isn’t
ready to concede that he’s already growing out of the ones he’s been
in. Call me pro-growth, but I can certainly appreciate Tarah’s desire
to see some things stay the same. . .

At this point, the debate rages on, evidence by noticing who changed him last.

Are you ready for some football?!

It was my chance to dress Kaden this morning after feeding and diaper change, so guess what we came up with. . .

I think you can tell by the look on his face that he knows his affilliation may not be entirely volunteer as he considers the challenges facing Seahawk fanhood. However, I don’t think we can wait for a great season before he wears his Hawks gear.  Actually, when I think about it, he might be in school by the time the Seahawks turn things around.

I also have to give a “shout out” to Uncle Donny and Auntie Katie and their continued commitment to the Dawgs despite their performance this season, last season, the season before that. . .you get the point.  I told Kaden that Uncle Donny is a season ticket holder and we are obligated to cheer them on, but by the 4th quarter even Kaden was crying, had to change the channel.  Can’t they just concede next weeks game against USC?  Why waste everyone’s time and money. . .

@ 4 weeks

Okay so this post is a bit late.  He was 4 weeks Thursday, but we’ve been a bit busy.  He sure is getting big fast, starting to hold his head up, really tracking everything that is going on around him, responding to mom’s voice.  It’s pretty amazing to watch each day.

He has grown right into this onesie that my co-workers sent us when he was born.  You’ll likely see a lot of photos of him on his changing table because this is his favorite place to be.  Even once we are done changing him, he just loves to lie there and coo, look outside and wave his arms.  Pretty fun to watch him.

Now when do they start sleeping through the night. . .

Cool Jeep

These blogs have a way of connecting the world, but recently its been family.  My cousin Kelsey recently started a new blog, The Busy Yellow House, which like our blog is dedicated to the activities of the family.  This little window into the life of the Wilburns recently revealed that they are proud owners of a 1948 Jeep Willys Flatfender.  And this isn’t just any beat up old flatfender, this is one cool looking jeep.  They bought it back in February and thanks the new family blog, I know all about it!

Sarah on SNL

If you missed SNL, catch it here, because it was one of the funniest sketches I’ve seen a long time from SNL.

all. We’ll see.

Three Weeks!

Three Weeks!

Oh, and I should have mentioned that yesterday was his 3 week
birthday. He’s 21 days old. Turning 21 years old is a big deal for
obvious reasons, too bad something cool was given to people at 21 days
old. . .hmmm. What could that be? Maybe at 21 days old you get your
social security card?

Its amazing how much older he already looks in this picture. Happy
Birthday buddy!
